DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at the South West Rail & Heritage Centre\, Boyanup Sunday September 27th for our September Open Day. \nWith Leschenault Lady up in Perth receiving some TLC\, steam locomotive H18 will be on display. Built by Neilson & Co\, Glasgow and delivered in 1889\, H18 spent time around the state including the opening of the Bunbury – Boyanup railway (1891) and working on the Mundaring Weir line (1903-1904) and the Fremantle Harbour North Quay (1911). By 1949 it was back in Bunbury for use on the breakwater construction\, then shunting duties until c1961. It underwent a rebuild by Rail Heritage WA in the Midland Workshops and moved to the SWRHC in 2019 \nInside the Roundhouse\, have a look in our Mobile Museum ZJ270\, rail maintenance trolleys and our collection of old farm equipment. As usual our Old Machinery Group\, Model Railway Group\, Blacksmiths and Capel Men’s Shed will be demonstrating their skills\, \nBlacksmiths and Men’s Shed have a range of items for sale. \nThe Picnic Van will be open for light refreshments including Tea\, Coffee\, Sausage Sizzle\, Toasties\, Devonshire Tea and Cool Drinks. \nSeptember 26 Flyer
