The South West Model Railway Group is an enthusiastic supporter of the saying “good things come in small packages” and it is true they have a diverse range of small trains and rolling stock to operate on their ever growing and ever developing layout. Running HO, N and Z scale models, the layout is a source of fascination as the tiny trains wend their way through towns and country landscapes.
The group, the first encountered by visitors as they operate their layout in the SWRHC entrance building, is run by dedicated and enthusiastic modellers who are willing to share their knowledge and skills with those who would like to try their hand at this hobby.
Supplementing the layout rolling stock, the South West Model Railway Group also has an interesting display of clockwork trains and models of varying sizes from years gone by.
The South West Model Railway Group is in operation every Open Day and often meet and work on the layout casually throughout the month.
